iTunes can be a little overwhelming sometimes. We can help you get started with some tips and advice.

What is iTunes?

Its an application on your computer that deals with your music and videos. It is also an online shop (itunes store) where you can buy music albums, singles, videos that download to your computer.

Do I need an iPod or iPhone to use iTunes?

No, you can use it to manage your music and video files even if you dont have an iPod or iPhone.

If you do have an iPod or iPhone, you would use iTunes to add music, videos, pictures, games, podcasts, audiobooks etc to them.

How do I get iTunes?

You can have a look if you have iTunes on your computer already by clicking on the start menu (bottom left of your screen) then 'all programs' or 'programs'. iTunes will be listed there if you have it already installed on your computer.

If iTunes is not listed there please click on the image below or  go to www.apple.com/itunes/download to 'Download Now'.You will need to enter a valid email address.

A box will open asking you to 'Run' or 'Save', click 'RUN'.

iTunes should then automatically install itself onto your computer, this might take a while but it will talk you through what it is doing and you may have to tick a few boxes along the way.
